Returning again on the 3rd – 7th May 2018 is the “Spirit of Speyside” Festival, which is this area’s annual celebration of Whisky, which has developed into one of the largest events of its kind anywhere in the world. With a programme of around 500 whisky-inspired events, the festival is ideal for the curious beginner and the whisky connoisseur alike.
Festival events take place in the Spey valley, with activities taking place throughout the region, following the length of the River Spey to the sea, with one of the local highlights to Kingussie being the opening up of the private Speyside distillery for this event only.
