Whilst we can still see the snow on the Cairngorms from the sun-room at Croftcarnoch there is finally some evidence that Spring is just round the corner after this long winter. The daffodils will be out shortly and it is a really lovely time to be in the Highlands when everything is just about to come out and you can see everything more clearly. In fact an activity that is popular is pony trekking which is a great way to see the countryside and one that is a great family day out. There are a number of places locally between Kingussie and Aviemore where you can do this with Alvie Stables and Rothiemurchus amongst them.
If you are not a horse type then perhaps you are a dog person and there are many walks available to dog walkers, where you can see so much of this fantastic local scenery, bearing in mind of course to act responsibly as set out in the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. Whether behind a bridle of a horse or a lead on a dog, this is the time to get out into the Highlands and get that clear fresh air into the lungs and we look forward to seeing you here at Croftcarnoch Farmhouse in the near future.
